It was with pleasure they combed the country for, and came across the town and people of Barraba. We think you will like this affordable concept.

For the Grey Nomads who still want to travel but need to know they have a place to call home, there are limited housing choice options especially if they don't want to put all their money into a home. Without Barraba HQ Estate there is only a choice between the leasehold option of a manufactured home village or the uncertainty of renting in a 'permanent' caravan park location. Similarly with those who would rather travel the world than devote all their assets to a place to merely inhabit and not experience living the dream. The lots in Barraba Estate will be Community Torrens Title so there's no doubt about ownership. Also on the title to each lot a 1/17th ownership of the common areas and facilities. The lot, and share of facilities, are part of Neighbourhood Scheme. The Scheme (Theme) is a headquarters for traveling seniors.

The development offers a block of land with all facilities on which retirees (or people over 55) can build a cottage of their own design to suit their own particular lifestyle.
The central common area containing parkland and activities centre, are to be owned and shared and managed by the 17 lot owners. It will be up to the owners to decide on who and when other people (visitors etc.) may use these facilities.
Ownership is restricated to over 55s who want to travel and want a friendly resort style situation to return home to

All properties will be maintained to an agreed standard - whether occupied or not. So that the estate will always be pleasant to live in and to return to.
There will be a limit on the number of permanent residents occupying each lot - generally 1 couple with allowance for dependant/carer needs.
Visitors are welcome, and there is plenty of scope for accommodating friends and family for reasonable lengths.
Shared ownership is not the aim of this development but there are opportunities for 2 or more families to share the one lot together so that if one family is travelling and the other is in residence. It should be noted however that only one family can be "permanent" at any time.
